Hypertension is common post-renal transplant and is associated with an
increased risk of graft loss and death. This meta-analysis found the
strongest evidence for calcium-channel blockers in reducing graft loss and
improving GFR. ACE-inhibitors did not reduce the incidence of graft loss and
were associated with a lower GFR, but did reduce proteinuria.
