This well-designed trial randomized deceased kidney donors to receive dopamine vs. control prior to organ procurement. There was a lower rate of multiple dialyses post-transplant in recipients who received a kidney from a donor treated with dopamine. There was no difference in the rates of acute rejection, graft or patient survival between groups.
