Living Donor Age and Kidney Transplant Outcomes

.   .

This large single-center study examined the effect of living-donor age on the outcomes of renal transplantation. Living-donor kidneys from older donors were associated with a higher incidence of post-transplant proteinuria. The relationship between living-donor age and long-term graft survival was also more significant for younger, but not older recipients.
