Despite the use of desensitization protocols, antibody-mediated rejection is still common after transplants where recipients have anti-HLA antibodies to the donor. In this single-center study, biopsies showed that glomerular infiltration begins within 30 minutes of reperfusion. Severe peritubular leukocyte margination was also associated with a high specificity for antibody-mediated rejection.
